House of Commons tenants this office on a 20-year lease
Quadrum acquired their first significant acquisition in the UK in April 2014, a multi-let office building in the heart of Westminster, Central London. The property is located in a quiet neighbourhood of Westminster, a stone’s throw from St James’s Park, Victoria, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
Initially an unmodernised office building, Quadrum secured vacant possession in 2017 with the site then being stripped back to its shell before undertaking a full Category A refurbishment to provide around 53,000 sq. ft. of high-end net lettable office space.
In addition to the proceeding Cat A fit-out, planning consent was secured and implemented for an enhanced office redevelopment which added multiple improvements including a third lift, roof terraces and a dedicated entrance for cycle access along with cycle storage and shower facilities. The development was completed in January 2019.
In February 2019, Quadrum pre-let the entire building to the House of Commons on a 20-year lease. Later in the year Quadrum sold this investment to a UK Government body.
